Make a chart from text or an image
Render a short label into cells or import a picture for a bracelet-width grid.
Create an editable alpha friendship bracelet chart from text or an image. Set the thread width, choose thread colors, follow the row sequence in alternating directions, and print the chart with color totals.
24 × 24 positions
Example chart loaded. Choose a color and paint, or upload an image.
Keyboard: focus the chart, use arrow keys to move, then press Space or Enter to paint.
The row list shows color and position order; it does not generate forward/backward knot instructions.

Render a short label into cells or import a picture for a bracelet-width grid.
Choose the chart columns and review each row as a sequence of knot-color positions.
The row list shows the direction to follow, plus color counts for the chart.
Paint positions, download a PNG or CSV, or print a row-by-row reference.
Enter text or load an image, set the thread columns, and read each row in the direction shown.
Text is drawn into a grid in the browser; images can also be imported locally.
Adjust the width for the bracelet and choose the thread color limit.
Read the alternating row sequence, then print the chart and color totals.
The grid assigns a thread color to each position and lists the order across each row. Rows alternate their displayed reading direction so the chart can be followed back and forth.
The chart does not infer a forward or backward knot sequence for every thread interaction. Use it as a color-and-position plan, and apply the knot method you use to construct your bracelet.
Short text and simple silhouettes have more room to remain legible on a narrow grid. Try a wider strand count for small letters, then inspect the preview at its printed size.
A color total counts cells assigned to that color. It is a chart count, not a yarn length or skein estimate; actual thread consumption depends on knotting and bracelet length.
Yes. Enter short text to render it as a color grid, then adjust the width and edit individual cells.
Yes. Upload a PNG, JPG, or WebP image to create an editable chart in your browser.
Each cell marks one knot position and the thread color assigned to it. The tool does not generate the full forward or backward knot instructions.
The row list alternates its reading direction so you can follow the chart back and forth across successive rows.
The selected chart width is the number of color positions across the pattern. Choose a width that suits your bracelet and verify the finished width with a sample.
No. It counts chart positions by color, not thread length. Knot style, bracelet length, and tension affect how much floss is required.
Yes. Select a swatch and paint chart cells. The color key and totals update as you edit.
Yes. Print view contains the chart, alternating row directions, and color totals.
No. Text rendering and image conversion run in your browser; the page does not upload or save the project.
Download the PNG chart or CSV row list, or print the page and save it as a PDF.
